Meatpacking District Fair

August 30, 2014
Well, when Google says 16th St. apparently they really mean 13th St. So, my adventure with Stevie, Maegan, Jenny, and Amy took a detour to The High Line before seeing the actual Meatpacking District Fair from thirty feet above the city.

The smell of kebabs and BBQ pits is intoxicating. If I could bottle it and send it to all of you, I would. We found a vendor with a sunglasses company who was a recent FIT graduate. After two girls bought a new pair of shades, we picked up his business card. Let the networking begin.

The best part of today was walking through Chelsea Market on the way back and stumbling across a sample sale from Free People. For those who don't know, Free People is owned by Urban Outfitters and is probably 5x more expensive. However, everything on the racks was 70% off today thanks to this sample sale. I got a sweater for $20 that was marked at $70. I was happy, to say the least. I'm actually wearing it now and it is the most comfortable article of clothing I have ever placed on my body.

We walked home along 10th Avenue, put pajamas on, and watched Gossip Girl and Sex and the City. This will probably go on all night.

**Update**
Someone Stevie follows on Twitter tweeted about Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Martin Scorsese filming on 16th St. which happens to be exactly where we were earlier today. We threw on sneakers and literally sprinted all the way there. We were about 10 feet away from Brad Pitt's trailer and tent and saw his car drive away with him in it. Sadly we didn't actually get to see anyone. Maybe next time.

"Home is where the pants aren't."
"Yeah go ahead take a selfie."
